Description: digital alarm clock in different colours with ON and OFF inscription.

Risks: the digital alarm clock poses serious chemical and environmental risks because it contains a switch filled with about 10 µl of mercury. If the product is damaged, the user may be exposed to mercury.

Mercury is one of the most dangerous environmental toxins and is a threat to the environment and, through the environment, to human health.

The product does not comply with the requirements of Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2).

Action adopted: the measures adopted consist in removing the product from the online marketplace (Germany).
