Description: working gloves in white leather and grey textile material with dark blue edges on the wrist.

Risks: The gloves contain nitrobenzene. Nitrobenzene is readily absorbed by the skin, is haematotoxic, can damage the testicles and spermatogenesis, and can cause cancer if inhaled or in contact with the skin.

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation, the REACH Regulations and with standard EN 420 and EN 388.

EN 420 defines the general requirements and test procedures for glove design and manufacturing, resistance of glove materials to water penetration, harmlessness, comfort and efficiency, marking and information provided by the manufacturer applicable to all protective gloves.

EN 388 specifies the requirements, test methods, marking and information provided by the manufacturer for protective gloves against mechanical risks from abrasion, blade cutting, tearing, puncture and, if applicable, impact. This standard applies in conjunction with EN 420.

Action adopted: The measures adopted by notifying country consists in the import rejected at border.

 

 

Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment

Article 4

Making available on the market PPE shall only be made available on the market if, where properly maintained and used for its intended purpose, it complies with this Regulation and does not endanger the health or safety of persons, domestic animals or property.
